Living with Dementia

June 12, 2019

We recently had a presentation and talk given to our team at Eyesentials on the subject of dementia.

We learnt some of the facts!

Dementia could affect us at any age and there are over 100 types of dementia that progress at different rates. Statistics do show that our risk increases with age and that one in fourteen people over the age of 65 suffer from some form of demenia.

Symptoms including memory loss, difficulty communicating and processing information can change how a person interacts with the world around them, but we must remember that there is more to a person than dementia.

Dementia will possibly touch all our lives whether a friend, relative or even ourselves. Many sufferers can still live happy lives.

We can provide information leaflets relating to:

Cataracts and dementia

Eye examinations and dementia

Spectacles and dementia.

Want to find out a lot more about dementia and why not become a dementia friend we have.
